The Challenge

For the Tropics Glammies, the screens aren’t just there to show content. They’re a huge part of the experience. That meant creating a whole visual world across multiple arena screens, with unusual aspect ratios, different audience sightlines and content that had to work seamlessly during a live show.

The Method

We started with the screens themselves, building pixel maps, testing viewing angles and defining safe areas before creating anything. From there, we built the Jungle Disco backdrop from individual elements so leaves could move, disco balls could turn and rainforest mist could drift through the scene, all while looping seamlessly. We also created six bespoke music sequences and built the recognition graphics so last-minute names and changes could be handled quickly, without bringing the whole show to a halt.

What We Delivered

A complete package of large-scale, immersive screen content designed around the show from the beginning. From animated jungle environments and music sequences to 50 recognition animations, everything was designed to work together, creatively, technically and under the pressure of a live event. And seeing it all play out in front of an audience of 5,000 is quite different from watching it back on a laptop!
