A complete package of films for the WHG Colleague Conference, delivered before, during and after the event.

The Challenge

The WHG Colleague Conference is a great example of what we do when there’s a fixed event deadline, multiple audiences and a lot of content to deliver. Working with Walsall Housing Group, we created a complete package of films to support the conference before, during and after the event. This included a two-minute opening hero film, an animated explainer around WHG’s Data Transformation Project, a values film, a closing film and a post-event highlights package.

The Method

The opener looked back at WHG’s achievements over the previous ten years, balancing the challenges of a changing operating environment with a positive story about the organisation’s progress. We also created branded animated content to explain the new data strategy and a values film featuring WHG’s Head of People Services, supported by on-screen graphics and key statistics. On the day itself, our team was there to capture the atmosphere, workshops and colleague reactions, while also filming vox pops for the closing film. That content was edited into the final piece so the conference could end on a forward-looking note, with colleagues talking about what excited them about the new ten-year strategy and what they wanted to achieve next.

What We Delivered

A joined-up suite of conference content that helped WHG set the tone, explain complex ideas, reinforce organisational values and capture the energy of the event, with additional highlights content extending the life of the conference well beyond the day itself. Since the conference, we’re proud to have continued working with WHG across a wide range of projects. Over the past year, that has included case study films, launch films, place-based content and even an instructional mock tribunal. It’s a great example of how one successful project can grow into an ongoing creative partnership, with us becoming a trusted extension of the team for all kinds of video content.
